Recently, India released new guidelines for intermediaries on Social media sites . They demanded that all platforms, like Facebook, Twitterand Instagram to adhere to these guidelines. This policy was made public in February of 2021. social media companies who use media were granted time to follow. The deadline for compliance expires today (25 May 2021) and not one among the social platforms met the new guidelines. Twitter, Facebook Twitter as the Instagram's related platforms are all barred because of this.

United States of America have requested a six-month time period.

Alongside Facebook and Instagram, Twitter was also mandated to conform to the new guidelines. According to the accounts, Twitter hasn't revealed any information on the extent of compliance of these revised IT policies. In the near future it could be this reason behind Twitter Ban in India.

Not just celebrities, but even government agencies post information on Twitter using their own Twitter accounts. The problem is reported by users through tweets, and then others send a tweet back to have it highlighted by authorities. If Twitter is taken off India this will cause major change on the news sharing through social media platforms.
